I've been rocking about a 50% completion rate for morning pages, and I'm seeing little changes. I have been having so much fun learning how to play again. It's humbling! But after years of unconsciously telling myself I shouldn't try painting or sculpting because I've never taken a class and I'm not that artistic (???????), I treated myself to a little set of watercolors. I'm exploring. I'm thinking seriously about learning to sew. I'm crocheting while my show is on instead of simultaneously scrolling. I have moments where I am Compelled to write. These little changes have been stacking up and it is SO exciting
Emma wowwww this gave me chills reading this. Also SHOCKED to hear you say that you have a belief that you're not artistic, because I definitely get artistic vibes off you
I appreciate that! I was pondering this and realized I have thought of myself as Artsy, like the way elementary school teachers so often are, and Creative as in good at solving problems. I think I've thought as Artists and Artistic people requiring a lot of skill, and so I shut myself off from that option?
I'll be honest I didn't expect BMAW to be affecting me so greatly but I'm grateful!
Totally relate. I've mentioned this on one of the episodes but I remember a few years ago when i did the artist's way I started calling myself and artist for the first time in my life like it was some big reveal and everyone was like "yeah.... we know." I was just the last one to find out🤣

Was so great to finally make it week 4! This is the furthest I’ve ever gotten with this book.
But I think I do need to start doing pages. Like, because I sort of want to.
Week 4 feels like a huge accomplishment, doesn't it?!
